יזמה בעקבות הצלחת שש חברות ישראליות להכלל בתואר העולמי של גרטנר Cool Vendors 2008
גרטנר חברת המחקר והייעוץ הגדולה בעולם, (המכסה יותר מ 80% ממקבלי ההחלטות העולמיים בעולם התכנה, האינטרנט, התקשורת והמחשבים) מזהה במהלך המחקר והכנסים חברות הייטק בתחילת דרכן ובסוף כל שנה מגדירה מי הן החברות אשר הציגו את החדשנות/טכנולוגיה וגרמו לאנליסטים לתחושת "ואוו", כך שאין זו תחרות ! החברות אינן יודעות שהנן מועמדות עד לפרסום הדו"ח המופיע רק אחת לשנה.

Six Israeli start-ups are among the Gartner’s "Cool Vendors" list for 2008. The award is important for small companies with advanced technology by giving them exposure. Gartner selected the winners after the consultant’s analysts met the companies and mapped their ideas and a selection committee picked the winners. Gartner covered 172 companies in 41 reports on different sectors.

• Aterni ty Ltd., which is developing software that monitors applications.
• Zoomix Ltd., information management and integration systems;
• Qumranet Inc., founded by Giora Yaron, which is developing a Linux-based virtual work environment;
• VeNotion Technologies Ltd., which develops business performance management solutions;
• Yoggie Security Systems Ltd., which is developing IT security solutions for mobile facilities.

לכנס גרטנר הבינ"ל שיתקיים ב 17-18 ליוני בדויד-אינטרקונטיננטל ת"א יגיעו 20 אנליסטים ומנהלים מגרטנר העולמית, ויתוו את מפת הדרכים הטכנולוגית למשתמשים, לחברות הייטק ולמשקיעים. לצד הכנס יתקיימו כ 150 פגישות 1X1 ומספר מצומצם של הצגת טכנולוגיות של חברות צעירות לאנליסטים העולמיים, כאשר הפגישות האישיות פתוחות גם לנציגי קרנות ולמשתמשים פוטנציאליים. בדרך זו מקוים המארגנים תגדל כמות הפגישות של חברות ישראליות עם האנליסטים העולמיים שייתרמו לפתיחת דלתות עולמית, ואולי גם למספר Cool vendors גדול אף יותר בתחילת 2009 .
